On November 5-6 th the Digital Health Society Summit, a virtual event that promotes the latest thought leadership of the Digital Health Society, showcases innovation, research, European funded projects and addresses the latest digital and data challenges facing digital health, will be organised for the 6th time.
This year, the Summit will look into the challenges healthcare systems face to take advantage of digital technologies and the benefits they could deliver. Content will include :
- Introduction to digitisation in healthcare and why healthcare lags behind other sectors in embracing the benefits of digitalisation;
- Future visions for digital health and health data;
- Unlocking the power of health data: prevention and early diagnostics, treatment and personalised care, policy and resource allocation;
- Data analytics: process efficiency, clinical decision support and better results
- Scaling hospital at home solutions and strengthening primary care and preventive measures;
- Increasing secondary use of health data and innovation;
- Reducing workload of healthcare professionals (HCP) and administrative burden through data-based and AI solutions;
- Skilling, reskilling, upskilling HCP for digital age;
- European interoperability efforts, including European Electronic Health Record Exchange Format (EEHRxF);
- Data access and the significance of the European Health Data Space;
- AI in healthcare: opportunities and considerations in light of the AI Act;
- Health data exchange between Europe and Africa.
The event is another opportunity to #ConnectTheDots among the stakeholders coming from public and private sectors, governments, business, academia and civil society representatives and contributes to the ECHAlliance’s work of the Global Health Connector Partnership in Africa, India, the Americas and the Far East.
