Meet the xShare Yellow Button Open Call Awardees
Through the xShare Yellow Button Open Call, innovative organisations across Europe were invited to demonstrate how the xShare Yellow Button can make personal health data easier to access, share and use across healthcare and wellness settings. The selected awardees are turning this concept into concrete solutions, integrating the Yellow Button into digital health products, applications and platforms and demonstrating their readiness for the European Health Data Space.
Their solutions explore different ways of enabling individuals to download, upload or securely share their health information, using the European Electronic Health Record Exchange Format (EEHRxF) and relevant HL7 FHIR specifications. Together, they show how interoperability can move from standards and specifications into practical tools that give people greater control over their health data.

Meet the awardees

From interoperability standards to real-world use
The xShare Open Call was designed to help bridge the gap between European interoperability specifications and their implementation in real digital health solutions. Selected organisations implemented or demonstrated the Yellow Button using EEHRxF-aligned health data and underwent technical testing through the IHE Gazelle environment.
By applying common European specifications in different products and use cases, the awardees provide practical examples of how health information can become more portable as the European Health Data Space moves towards implementation.
