This presentation introduces the xShare project and the Yellow Button initiative, designed to empower European citizens to access, download, and share their health data securely and easily within the European Health Data Space (EHDS). It explains the European Electronic Health Record exchange Format (EEHRxF), the rights of citizens under EHDS, and the benefits of structured, machine-readable health data. Featuring Marina’s story, the deck illustrates real-life applications, from gaining second opinions to participating in clinical trials. It also outlines the technical pillars of xShare—the Button, the Hub, and the Label—and calls for early adopters across Europe.
